Why BotPolyglott exists
BotPolyglott isn't a corporate product. This project was born from the frustration of learning languages with traditional apps that confuse multiple-choice exercises with real speaking. We wanted a tutor that listens, responds, and corrects — patient, available, without scheduling pressure. So we built one.
The founder
Ekaterina speaks several languages from Germanic, Romance, and Slavic language families and knows the highs and lows of language learning from personal experience. She founded BotPolyglott because traditional language apps offer too little real speaking practice — and because Telegram as a platform is already part of daily life.
Our methodology
BotPolyglott builds on three pillars of second language acquisition research:
- Comprehensible Input (Krashen) The bot adjusts vocabulary and sentence structure so you can just barely understand it — the most important lever for natural language acquisition.
- Output Hypothesis (Swain) You produce language in every turn. Only those who formulate themselves learn to formulate — input alone isn't enough.
- CEFR calibration Every response, correction, and vocabulary recommendation follows the official CEFR framework from A0 to C1.
